Imagine this situation. You are sitting there listening to a fantastic piece of music, perhaps something incredibly cool like Guns N’ Roses or Justin Bieber, and then suddenly, the sound on your computer dies.
Obviously one of two things happened here, the music you were listening too was far too cool.
Or simply, there is something seriously wrong with the computer. Don’t worry though, all is not lost, there are number of ways in which you can
fix a no sound problem from the Computer’s Speakers, so we are going to run through them.
Even the biggest computer nerds make simple mistakes with their computers. Often, many people will dive straight in and think their computer has died forever, however more often than not; there is a simple solution to their problem. Perhaps your speakers have become unplugged from the computer, or maybe you have turned the volume down, either just for the application you are using, or for the speakers as a whole.
You will be surprised at how often a solution like this goes overlooked. So check it out now, and see if that is the problem. If not, it is time to carry out some more diagnostics.
Double Check Your Speakers
The next thing you need to be looking at is whether your speakers are broken or not. If possible, try to plug them into another audio source. If they work, then there is something wrong with your computer. If they don’t, then you need to grab a new pair of speakers. Alternatively, you could also test the computer by plugging in a pair of headphones or another set of speakers. If no sound comes out, then you know that you have a problem.
At this stage many people worry because have discovered that the problem resides inside of their computer. Don’t fret though, this is a simple problem to solve, it is just going to require a tiny bit more effort than normal.
Update Your Sound Drivers
Every piece of hardware on your computer has a piece of software attached to it known as a “driver”. This tells the piece of hardware what its job is, and of course, provides the link so your operating system can interact with it. Sadly though, the more you use the computer, the higher the chances are of these drivers becoming corrupted, and as a result, they stop working properly. This isn’t something you can avoid.
At this stage, the majority of people head online and download drivers for their hardware. I urge you not to do this however.
If you download the wrong drivers, then you can end up making the situation that much worse, either because they are out of date, or they simply are not made for your hardware.
Instead you should download a solution like “DriverTurbo” which does exactly what it says on the tin, it will find the correct driver for you, and it will even install it. You don’t have to worry about downloading incompatible drivers like this.
Follow all of these tips, then you can be listening to your music again pretty quickly!
